Women in Three Dimensions
In her Women in Three Dimensions collection, reflecting on femininity in a contemporary context,
designer Judy Wu draws inspiration from Mondrian’s painting and strikes a harmonious balance
between female body form and simple geometric shapes.
Wu finds the process of deconstructing the rectangular shapes of Mondrian’s painting allows her to create new forms to empower feminine beauty.
Silk organza and translucent tulle and chiffon are used to soften the angles, while wool coatings, faux fur and knits are added for texture and volume.
The collection is enriched with colour blocks of burgundy, navy, scarlet, blush, gold and black.
